Iceland, Alive and Kicking
Iceland's scenery enchanted me. Colorful sunsets lasting until midnight; vast geothermal fields with seething terrain intermixed with patches of ice, beside vibrant colors of rhyolite mountains. The ground is black with solidified lava and volcanic ash, yet often shining with bright green mosses. I was totally captivated for five weeks during July 2012, and again in June-July 2017.
