Travelogues
It is possible to turn a satisfactory event into an unforgettable experience: A thrilling
travelogue of an exceptional journey. This is where I come in. I present a show of photographs and tell about my
exciting experiences, about places I visited and the people I met on the way, some of
them near the edge of the world.
The stories are accompanied by spectacular photographs and describe
unconventional sights. Here is what some of the critics thought: "Nakash is taking
you to splendid armchair travels in various graceful corners of the world" wrote Isaac
Levy in Ma'Ariv, the leading evening paper. "A World-embracing art of wildlife and
colorful characters from exotic destinations" wrote Ilan Ytshhaik in Yediot Aharonot
evening paper. "Efrat Nakash is traveling in the world with her camera and with the
talent to focus on the most exciting things", described Asi Friedman in La'Isha
magazine. Danny Gaspar, a tour guide, called me "The guru of Armchair Travel".
I tell my stories and show the sights both in English and in Hebrew. I adjust the
length of the lecture and its content to your requirements. The travelogues are suitable
for corporate events, schools, theme clubs, community centers, youth centers etc. In

A partial listing of presentations of incredible adventures follows:
An invitation to a breathtaking account of ice and wildlife at the end of the
world, illustrated by pictures and personal experiences, as compiled during two
months aboard a yacht which sailed between huge icebergs. An impassioned voyage
that began in the Falkland Islands, then through South Georgia Islands to Antarctica.
An encounter with the fragility of life and the immense powers of the elements. A
small mistake in Antarctica is, inevitably, a lethal error.
You are invited to view a sample presentation of photos which will be exhibited
in the travelogue, in the following galleries:
Falkland Islands,
South Georgia Islands and
Antarctica Peninsula.
You may read about the fascinating adventures in the
Antarctica without Mercy
travel diary (in Hebrew).
An invitation to stories which originated in warm and exciting encounters with
the hill tribes people, presented in pictures and personal experiences. The Lao
people maintain their clothing, their habits and their unique beliefs. Enjoy a
fascinating lecture about the friendly, nearly extinct people, who live a simple,
peaceful life in bamboo and timber villages. In addition, a tantalizing visit in
"The Gibbon Experience": life in the jungle's canopy, Tarzan style.
You are invited to view a sample presentation of photos which will be exhibited
in the travelogue, in the
Laos, The North
gallery.
You may read about the touching experiences in
The Charms of Laos
travel diary (in Hebrew).
You are invited to share my adventurous treks to the Everest and the
Kangchenjunga in Nepal. The Everest, the highest mountain in the world (8,848 m),
and the Kangchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world (8,586 m), both in the
Nepali Himalayas range, partially constitute the border with Tibet. An unforgettable
account of two treks, 28 days each, to the base camps of the Everest and to the
Kangchenjunga in Nepal. The Kangchenjunga trek is "off the beaten track".
The Everest trek is a commercial one, and is crowded with tourists. Both pass
through isolated villages, with nothing but winding trails leading to them. Stimulating
landscapes, exhilarating adventures, and content, welcoming people.
To sample the photos which will be presented in the travelogue, choose the following
galleries:
Nepal, Everest Trek and
Nepal, Kangchenjunga Trek.
You may read about the exciting adventures along the Everest trek in the
Sheltered in the Himalayas
travel diary; enjoy more adventures along the Kangchenjunga trek in

travel diary (in Hebrew).
Join me on an emotional, sweeping experience: the touching story of the
Tibetans both in exile and in Tibet, an illustrated account of personal experiences.
This is the yield of six months of a fascinating life among Tibetans: Four months of
volunteering work in Dharamsala, India, seat of the Tibetan in Exile government,
headed by The Dalai Lama, with a large community of refugees who fled from Tibet
under the oppressive Chinese regime. Life at the refugee reception center in
Katmandu, and the escape route across the Himalayas, to Tibet. Moving
encounters with Tibetans in their homeland, and stimulating voyages with pilgrims to
their Tibetan Buddhist sacred places.
You are invited to view a sample presentation of photos which will be exhibited
in the travelogue, in the following galleries:
India, Dharamsala,
China, Tibet and
China, Tibetan Culture.
