Tajikistan, the ‘Roof of the World’
I found great beauty in the high mountains of Tajikistan. We trekked in the Fann mountains between turquoise lakes, with huge peaks and ridges above us. We traveled in the Pamir mountains to the voice of water flowing furiously against the exposed cliffs, between villages nested in green and flowering valleys, and met hospitable locals. I traveled in Tajikistan in August 2013.
