Flowing in Wadi Hasa
In Transjordan, Wadi Hasa defines the border between Moab and Edom. Hot springs and cold springs blend into a pleasant flow of water. The river undermines a limestone canyon, expands, and undermines a red sandstone canyon, decorated with "hanging gardens". We waded in the water, enjoyed pools and waterfalls, and were impressed by the beauty of the gorge. I walked along Wadi Hasa in April, 2014.
