Tajikistan, the ‘Roof of the World’
I found great beauty in the high mountains of Tajikistan. We trekked in the Fann mountains between turquoise lakes, with huge peaks and ridges above us. W÷ traveled in the Pamir mountains to the voice of water flowing furiously against the exposed cliffs, between villages nested in green and flowering valleys, and met hospitable locals. I traveled in Tajikistan in August 2013.
